The project “Summer Counts of Greylag Goose” in Denmark has kindly been funded by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. The purpose of the project is to estimate the Greylag Goose population in Denmark during summer. This estimate together with population size estimates in the rest of the Greylag Goose range states is a prerequisite for a management unit based management of this population. Moreover, it is a fundamental input to the Greylag Goose population model currently under development by the EGMP Data Center. The project will be conducted by Aarhus University and the Danish Hunting Association, and will be completed by the end of 2022.
